SURVICE Awarded Phase II SBIR Contract for Computer Vision

On February 28, 2017, the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) awarded SURVICE a Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract.  The Phase II effort will extend and enhance the implementation (started in Phase I) of our GPU-accelerated real-time computer vision framework for in situ intelligent video analytics (IVA) on mobile platforms, with applications for unmanned aerial vehicles.  Specifically, we are extending and enhancing our core Sentinel™ architecture with advances in high-performance low-level optimized computer vision algorithms, as well as higher-level video analytic capabilities for current and future mobile computing architectures.  Using these advanced computer vision techniques, we will then develop, integrate, and demonstrate a Sentinel-enabled IVA module for mobile platforms.
