Kyle Brady from our Dayton Area Operation will be presenting a briefing at the DEPS/ITEA Joint Conference on T&E Support to Prototyping and Experimentation the week of February 1, 2021.  Kyle’s paper will provide an update of our MSAS (Modeling and Simulation for Aircraft Survivability) project which is a joint industry and government effort developing code models to support the testing and evaluation of High Energy Laser (HEL) damage effects on aircraft and weapons.  The presentation will summarize the program’s test series covering material penetration, fire ignition and sustainment, component damage, and energetic material response.  In addition, a selection of material penetration data derived from this effort will be presented, and preliminary findings and analysis discussed.
