4 March 2016, Elkton, MD -  SURVICE, along with a several other governmental, academic, and industry organizations, is participating in the “New Frontiers in Bio-Medical Additive Manufacturing” symposium, on 4 March 2016 in Elkton, MD.  The half-day symposium, which is being held at the Cecil County School of Technology, is being hosted by the Regional Additive Manufacturing Partnership of Maryland (RAMP MD).  The goal of the symposium is to bring together manufacturers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and educators to present and discuss advancements in the bio-medical applications of additive manufacturing and three-dimensional (3D) printing.  Sessions will highlight recent developments in related Government research and development efforts and applications, including regional additive manufacturing capabilities, prototyping and manufacturing devices, rehabilitation and wearable health technology, and various related medical applications.  In addition, U.S. Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) will be providing the keynote address.

RAMP MD was established in 2014 by the Maryland General Assembly to grow additive manufacturing in Maryland.
