What We Do
Our Core Capabilities
Providing the Warfighter with the safest, most survivable, and most effective equipment possible.
A nationally recognized leader in system protection, enhancement, and enabling technologies.
Since 1981, SURVICE has supported the DoD community, as well as Homeland Security, advanced technologies, environmental, and commercial markets.
With a staff of approximately 400 people, SURVICE employees have backgrounds in engineering, physics, mathematics, chemistry, computer science, acquisition, technical writing, training, and other technical and administrative fields. And many of our personnel have DoD and/or operational military experience. Using a matrix approach, we draw on expertise from across our workforce to build customized work teams for each project and customer. The result is a successful, skilled workforce and many satisfied customers.
Systems Analysis & Engineering
Systems Anaylsis & Engineering
SURVICE conducts a wide variety of ballistic and nonballistic analyses and systems engineering studies.
From our beginnings, SURVICE has been a leader in analyzing the composition and performance of U.S. and foreign air, land, and sea combat systems and ensuring that those systems are safe, survivable, and effective. We conduct a wide variety of ballistic and nonballistic analyses and systems engineering studies, including analyzing threat-target interactions; susceptibility and vulnerability reduction; platform suitability; component, system, and mission performance; technology optimization; personnel vulnerability; fire prediction and mitigation; and electromagnetic environmental effects and lightning.
Systems that we have helped analyze include the following:
- Rotary-Wing Systems
- Fixed-Wing Systems
- Ground Systems
- Sea Systems
Test & Evaluation
Test & Evaluation
SURVICE is experienced in the test and evaluation roles that are vital to the design, acquisition, and fielding of all new and modified combat systems.
Testing plays a vital role in the design, acquisition, and fielding of all new and modified combat systems. SURVICE’s experienced test and evaluation (T&E) professionals understand this role well and are involved in all aspects of ballistic and nonballistic developmental, operational, and live fire testing. We provide comprehensive support to plan, manage, conduct, analyze, and report on T&E efforts by using the latest automated data collection tools, damage assessment processes, and weapon system databases. In addition and when appropriate, we leverage capabilities and technologies from our other capabilities areas across the company to give our customers a convenient single source for all their T&E needs.
We perform T&E on the following:
- Rotary-Wing Systems
- Fixed-Wing Systems
- Ground Systems
- Missile Systems
- NBC Systems
- Various Foreign Platforms
Modeling & Simulation/Software Engineering
Modeling & Simulation/Software Engineeing
With a history of expertise in modeling and simulation, SURVICE has a broad range of software engineering and systems engineering capabilities.
SURVICE has proven expertise with the latest modeling and simulation (M&S) and software engineering tools and technologies. We work with many engineering and physics-based component-, system-, and force-level models. Our capabilities span from algorithm/methodology development to code design and low-level optimization to configuration management and verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) support (in all phases of the acquisition process). We also develop customized user interfaces and computational tools for applications such as automated laser measurement, post-test damage collection, 3-D geometry modeling/conversion, high-speed raytracing, and fire modeling.
