Joint Defense Advanced Manufacturing Meeting

SURVICE employees Chris Cosgrove and Travis Kneen attended the inaugural Joint Defense Advanced Manufacturing Meeting for Innovation and Transition (J-DAMMIT) event. Larry (LJ) Holmes, who SURVICE has worked with during his career as a DoD civilian with the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, did an incredible job in pulling this event together and working to help grow Harrisburg University’s (HU’s) manufacturing education program.

The HU Advanced Manufacturing Team and its industry partners provided immersive demonstrations in robotics, additive manufacturing, CNC machining, hybrid manufacturing, 3D electronics printing, augmented & virtual reality, Smart Factory, and other technologies.

Attendees got real, hands-on exposure to these technologies, plus ample networking opportunities with some of the greatest minds in defense advanced manufacturing.
