SURVICE Selected to Operate the new DoD IAC BCO

February 26, 2021, BELCAMP, MD – SURVICE Engineering is pleased to announce our award of an $87,800,749 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Information Analysis Center (IAC) Basic Center of Operations.  This contract was awarded by the U.S. Air Force’s 774th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron to provide for the acquisition, storage, retrieval, synthesis, analysis, and dissemination of scientific technical information across 22 technical focus areas.

“This contract is especially meaningful to SURVICE, as it represents a significant milestone along a journey of nearly 40 years.  SURVICE (est. 1981) was instrumental in standing up the Survivability/Vulnerability IAC (1984), one of 24 independent IACs at the time.

Further, we helped operate SURVIAC as a subcontractor for nearly 28 years until in 2014, SURVICE was awarded the Defense Systems (DS) IAC, a consolidation of six other IACs, including SURVIAC.  During this consolidation by DTIC, all remaining IACs were further combined into two other IACs – Homeland Defense (HD) and Security IAC and Cyber Security (CS) and Information Systems IAC.  Now, with this current award, DTIC took the final step of consolidating the final three IACS (DS, HD, and CS) into the single remaining DTIC IAC—the DoD IAC.

That SURVIAC contract dating back to 1984 was also foundational as one of the first contracting mechanisms that we survived on as we grew.  In many ways, you could say SURVIAC was the foundation on which SURVICE was built, and with DSIAC and now the DoD IAC, the legacy continues.

We could not have achieved this milestone without the excellent and dedicated staff that make up our SURVICE family.  Thank you and congratulations to all our employees and especially those who worked so hard for this DoD IAC contract award.” –Jeff Foulk , CEO
