HDIAC Hosts DART and UASPD Courses

The Homeland Defense & Security Information Analysis Center – HDIAC hosted the Drone Assessment and Response Tactics (DART) and Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Development (UASPD) courses at SURVICE Engineering on April 4-5, 2022. These courses brought together first responders and emergency managers from the local, state, and federal levels. Students learned techniques to counter drones within the homeland and create and mature their own drone response programs, observing regulations and maintaining safety. Students were also presented with two case studies of real-world events and their outcomes.

The training was provided by New Mexico Tech in partnership with the FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.
