The 2025 Vertical Flight Society Student Drone Competition just wrapped up—and what an incredible week it was! Students were challenged to design and build a drone capable of autonomously locating and delivering supplies to disaster zones, pushing their innovation, creativity, and engineering skills to the limit. Congratulations to this year’s top teams:

2nd – The University of Akron
3rd – University of Maryland
We had an incredible time watching each impressive design take flight and the students reactions as they saw their hard work pay off.
