PMC Operation

The Physics, Mathematics, and Computers Operation specializes in the development of scientific software, specifically, the simulation of weapon effects and the development of survivability/vulnerability simulations.  The organization has extensive expertise in all stages of modeling these effects and their processes, starting from the characterization of weapons (e.g., shaped charges, projectiles, and warheads) to the simulation of weapon effects (e.g., penetration, blast, etc.) to the development of complete endgame simulation codes.  Physics, Mathematics, and Computers Operation customers at the time included the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division, the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, and numerous commercial organizations.  The Physics, Mathematics, and Computers Operation acquisition enhanced SURVICE’s existing survivability/vulnerability modeling and simulation and software engineering capabilities.  Through this acquisition, SURVICE has been able to further expand its relationship with the naval ship community as it relates to advanced survivability.  This location consists of 7 offices, a restricted area for classified storage and processing, and a conference room.  The office is close to the airport, Kirtland Air Force Base, Sandia National Labs, the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory Space Vehicles Directorate and Directed Energy Research Directorate, and the National Nuclear Security Administration.
